Lawrence serves as Cruzan’s portfolio-wide chief engineer. In this role, he provides high-level engineering advisory services for current assets and strategic insight for new acquisitions. Lawrence manages the daily operations and maintenance of building infrastructure for the engineering department, assists with tenant improvements and capital projects, and plays a crucial role in developing procedures for building operations. Prior to Cruzan, Lawrence was the chief engineer at DiamondView East Village for over 12 years and has worked in the engineering field since 1998, specializing in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in high-rise facilities and marine vessels. Lawrence has been a member of the San Diego Building Engineers Association since 2009 and was nominated for Building Engineer of the Year in 2011. He obtained his navigation license through the Southern California Merchant Marine program while working as an engineer on a commercial marine vessel.
